Du Rand Engineering was established in 1998. Leon du Rand , with more than 30 years of experience in fitting, turning and machining, set out in a small factory in George, Western Cape, South Africa, with just the basic machinery required.

Together with his wife Merle and a lot of hard work, they began the task of growing the business into what it is today. As the business grew, so did the need to expand and keep up with the demand. It soon became clear that the only way to do this was to invest in CNC machinery. During this time du Rand Engineering aquired two Mazak CNC machines which have become invaluable and essential in their engineering business.
